“WHY OCCUPY” Morning Session

St. Peter’s College Social Justice Program and Occupy Jersey City is bringing “WHY OCCUPY: Inspire, Organize, Mobilize For a Brighter Future” to Jersey City!  An all-day event on the origins of the Occupy Wall Street Movement and other social movements. Discussions, exhibits, arts, culture, connections and making history.

FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

Light refreshments will be provided.

9:00 am- The Economic Crisis: How We Got Into This Mess

10:00 am- The Education Crisis

11:00 am- The Immigration Crisis

12:15 pm- 12:45 pm- OCCUPY THE LUNCHROOM
People’s Mic at Hudson Room and Pavonia Room

1:00 pm- The Environmental Crisis

2pm – 4:30 pm- Think Tank Discussions / Sign Making @ McIntyre B

5:00 pm- Student Empowerment

6:00- 7:15pm- Brief Recap of “Economic Crisis: How We Got in This Mess”/ History of Social Movements
